Nicole Gibbs – Chief Executive Officer Nicole Gibbs was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Norwood in January 2011. Nicole has extensive experience operating within senior levels of Government, and has achieved significant success in the development of State and Commonwealth policy; legislative reform; strategic planning at State level; obtaining significant funding for and on behalf of both Government agencies and the not-for-profit sector.
Liz Beggs – Deputy CEO /Chief Financial Officer Liz Beggs has been employed by Norwood as Chief Financial Officer since 2009 and has been the Deputy CEO since 2010. Liz holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting with expertise in finance, management, business analysis and business development. Previously Liz has held management positions with various Corporations including Telstra and Australia Post, as well as freelance consulting. Debbie Street – Executive Manager Client Services Debbie was employed by Norwood Association in 2011. She has over 15 years of experience in the community services sector, at both a State and Local Government level. Prior to joining the Norwood team, she provided strategic direction for disability to Government. Debbie is passionate about human rights, equality for all, and creating an inclusive society that builds independence for people less advantaged. Janet Grima – Executive Manager Marketing & Communications Janet Grima has been employed by Norwood for over three years. Janet has extensive knowledge in brand management, marketing and communications, social media, event management, fundraising and community affairs, having spent the past 20 years working for various not-for-profit organisations. Her previous roles have included Chief Executive Officer of Mosiac Marketing & Events; Manager of Marketing & Development of Bone Marrow Donor Institute; Director of Marketing & Public Affairs at Western Health; and Manager of Donors, Bequests and Community Events at Cancer Council Victoria.
Monica Benney – Executive Manager Policy & Compliance Monica Benney was initially employed as the Team Leader (PHaMP Brimbank) before moving into her current role as Executive Manager Policy & Compliance. Monica has held various direct service and management roles within non profit organisations primarily within the disability and family services sectors before moving across to mental health. Monica’s professional qualifications include: Bachelor of Social Work; Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Studies; Diplomas of Business (Management/Human Resources); and is currently undertaking Certificate IV in Quality Management & Assurance.
Nick Davies – Executive Manager Corporate Services Nick joined Norwood Association in January 2010, bringing 12 years professional experience from a range of industries including IT, finance, human resources and defence. Returning recently to study, he is currently completing a Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Arts and is scheduled to graduate in 2012. Nick is not your average accountant; his taking an arts major in sociology reflects his passion for being an informed citizen on a range of social theories and current issues. Nick is also a passionate writer, having completed courses in both professional and creative writing. Our corporate service team faces new challenges on a regular basis, and Nick brings the right mix of skills and understanding, coupled with a can-do attitude, to meet these challenges.
