Our Work

Norwood is a non-profit organisation which provides community based mental health outreach services throughout the western suburbs of Melbourne. We provide a range of distinct programs for our clients and community. These programs differ in the nature and degree of support required, and also the duration in which support is offered, but all aim to support clients through their recovery journey as they work towards greater independent living.

These programs include:

Norwood Outreach Support Program
This program provides support to people who want to live independently in the community.

Personal Helpers and Mentors Program (PHaMP)
This program supports people who have difficulty coping with daily activities and accessing the community.

Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC)
This program provides clinical and rehabilitation services in a supportive residential setting.

Pathways
The program helps people create pathways from homelessness, or a risk of homelessness, into secure long-term housing.

Mental Health First Aid
This program provides the community with a better understanding of mental health problems.

Refugee Mental Health Access Liaison Project
This project is working to build relationships and pathways between refugee communities and mental health providers.
